Joey does a crazy good job in that movie, so I bet she's solid on the show.

Oh, and I agree that not dragging everything through the mud should be recognized. Doing so is a style that's far too en vogue and doesn't do much for me. A balance makes much more sense to me (and is more nuanced and realistic, I would say). Also, Joey King, the daughter from the new Zach Braff movie is also the daughter in this (read in an interview that she had to wear a wig because of that). The Nicsperimenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08101227163387381013noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9602155.post-52996788796640684822014-08-13T09:29:11.104-05:002014-08-13T09:29:11.104-05:00I actually dislike Fargo for reasons not even ever...I actually dislike Fargo for reasons not even every Minnesotan gets... I hate that everyone in that movie has an extreme, "Hollywood Minnesotan" accent. Seriously, the Coen brothers grew up in the Twin Cities (not far from where I lived) and they know that not everyone talks like that. I have heard people with strong accents like that, but they're few and far between. I just don't get why they did it.

Anyway, so part of my dislike of the movie might be that (like your annoyance with some parts of True Detectives not living up to parts of Louisiana), but it's not that entirely. I just... don't click well with any parts of the movie or characters, really.

Oddly, I like the Coen Brothers' Intolerable Cruelty, a movie that wasn't reviewed all that well. The tongue in cheek humor there might not go over well with everyone, but it's hilarious and consistent for the movie. Nealnoreply@blogger.com
