Filmshake Is Climbing Jacob's Ladder

1990 Jacob's Ladder Podcast Movie Podcast Tim Robbins Adrian Lynne
Somehow, Filmshake, my 90s Movies Podcast with my longtime good friend, Jordan Courtney, has hit 100 episodes. While plenty of flash in the pan podcasts hit this number after a few years, we've stuck around for well over six, releasing roughly 15 episodes a year, and our slow and steady pace, and slow and steady growth, have gotten us three digits in. This, despite some pretty epochal life changes and events, particularly for Jordan a few years ago, and me this year .I don't want to speak for Jordan, but I think it's pretty safe to say this podcast has been an island for both of us in both turbulent and calm waters, just like the decade its movies are set in, the glorious 90s. Our 100th episode just happened to land right before Halloween this year, and as we alternate picks and this episode was my choice, I went with 1990s Jacob's Ladder. As I hadn't seen this horror thriller in quite some time, and we've focused on 1990 films this year for its 35th anniversary, Jacob's Ladder felt like a perfect choice. But does the movie hold up in 2025? And what about our zany punishment, 1990's straight-to-video kid's horror anthology, The Willies? Is it worth the video cassette tape it is printed upon? All that and more on this very special, horror-themed 100th episode!
