This Saint Patrick's Day, There Is No Escape From Filmshake!
Filmshake is back to a tradition we took a few years off from--we're opening up our St. Patrick's Day episode by talking a Leprechaun film! This time, we're talking 2014's Leprechaun: Origins! And it's so bad! So, so bad! It's the one Leprechaun film that plays it straight, and if there is one horror series that shouldn't be played straight, it's the one with the magical, murderous Leprechaun! But it sure is fun to talk about! The main course for the episode, though, is 1994's cult action flick, No Escape. It's at least a better movie than Leprechaun: Origins. I'm not even sure if that movie has a colon in the title, but it probably does. Anyway, No Escape stars a heroic Ray Liotta and a dastardly, hilariously hammy Stuart Wilson, who is way more fun than the Leprechaun in Leprechaun Origins. No, that looks weird. Let's put the colon back in. Leprechaun: Origins. Anyway, happy St. Patrick's Day from the town of my ancestors, and thanks to them, one of the only South Louisiana towns with an Irish name! I know they're proud of me!
