Jo Dee Fostar is attempting to catch a serial killer who has 120 victims. To catch him, he has to utilize the help of serial killer, Dr. Animal Cannibal Pizza. Fostar's girlfirend also steals some money and holes up at a Psycho's hotel because The Silence of the Hams would rather spoof that than The Silence of the Lambs. This movie is terrible.
Spoof and parody films like The Naked Gun or Airplane often throw out gag after gag, and while not all hit, enough gags consistently incite laughter to relegate those films to classic status. I have never watched a film that spits out as many gags as 1994's The Silence of the Hams
I am nearly 45-years-old, and baseball was never my best sport, but I am confident I could start for a Major League Baseball team and have a higher batting average than The Silence of the Hams. It feels like Hams burps up thousands of gags throughout its mercifully meagre runtime. I laughed twice. Not hearty laughs. Not even amused chuckles. Quick, sharp, unpleasant laughs. My co-host for Filmshake, The 90s Movie Podcast, made me watch this film. It is one of the worst films we have ever covered.
I hated The Silence of the Hams.
Do not watch it. Ever.
